Used Mary Engelbreit wrapping paper. Bonded garments to colored construction paper and then cut out with cuticle scissors. Made sure to use various colors because I wanted the colors on the backs of the garments to vary. | Made clothes line (poles of balsa wood), indoor/outdoor carpeting for turf. The recipient has ducks, so you'll notice ducks on the grass. Used music box with duck "quacking" noise. Package took approximately 15-20 hours to wrap. | |
Hallmark wrapping paper. Bonded three figures appearing in paper's pattern to colored construction paper and then cut out with cuticle scissors. Created wire channels on backs of objects, floating them into styrofoam glued to package top. Edges treated with black felt tip pen. Music button = "O Come, All Ye Faithful." | Wrapping paper in regal colors to compliment the crown. Note patterns created at ends of package. | |
For a baby shower. Used Noah's Ark paper. Dividied package into two sections...one during the flood and one after the flood. Clear cellaphane was used for water; green cellaphane was used for land. | This gift displays a pleated top. Ribbon woven through paper on side of package because I didn't want to interrupt the snow scene. Small flat can behind the standing winter scene held a music box which played, "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow." Package was sprayed with artificial snow. | |
Package for a fisherman. Used paper tablecloth so I would have the border around the entire bottom of the box. Used clear celephane to replicate water and tree growth to replicate sea life. Layered ribbons to create yellow/orange combo. | Sewing-motif fabric pleated and lace edging each pleat. Edges fused closed with fabric fusion tape. | |
Paper bought at Christmas House, Bellevue. Bonded paper to white typing paper twice and then cut out component parts with cuticle scissors.Fused parts onto bear group with clear tub caulking. | Edges treated with brown water color. Detail of bear group package above. Lights up with 12 miniature clear white lights and plays "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." | |

Used Timeless Treasures Fabric, pattern Luana, C3858. wrapping paper. Scanned fabric to replicate "Lady Liberty" banner. Banner enlarged and colors saturated in Photoshop. Pattern for figure and supporting stand found online, printed, and constructed with #65 paper. | Ends of package contain cards noting dimensions of Statue, as well as conditions under which the United States received the gift from France. Music on package is "God Bless America." | |
Used Northcott Studio fabric, "America - land of the free, home of the brave" and bold cotton flag ribbon. Indoor/outdoor turf underfoot. Foil ribbons curled on pencil. |
