Lois Elaine Thompson spent over thirty-five years of service in the
Federal Government in Washington, D.C. While in D.C., she held many
important positions, some of which included receptionist in the Office
of the Secretary of Commerce, legal examiner in the U.S. Patent Office,
office manager for the Trade and Tariff Negotiations, field agent for
the Census Bureau, and statistical analyst for the Department of Justice.
Lois was nominated for "Who's Who in the Midwest." She served
on the executive boards of the North High School Alumni Association
and the Hawthorne Hill Ministries. She held elective positions in the
Iowa State Federation of the National Association of Retired Federal
