North High Hall of Fame Inductee - 2002 William Lewis McGinnis Class of June, 1965
Dr. William Lewis McGinnis has earned a place of prominence in the field of medicine. Since 1988, he has been Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Besides his important work at Methodist Medical Center, he has been a clinical instructor at the University of Iowa in Iowa City and has written numerous articles published in medical journals.His professional activities include President of Iowa Oncology Research Association, President of the Iowa Medical Research Council, Chairman of Radiation Safety Committee IMMC, Chairman of the Des Moines Citywide IRB Task Force, Chairman of the Des Moines Hospitals Joint IRB, Hospice of Central Iowa board member, and managing partner of the South Iowa Radiation and Oncology Center.
