North High Hall of Fame Inductee - 1997 John Franklin "Jack" Krantz Class of June, 1946
After graduating from high school, Mr. Krantz started a business in home improvement. He went on to build homes and became president of Custom Built Homes. Over the years, Mr. Krantz built over 4,000 homes in five states. Jack Krantz is the owner and CEO of Adventureland of America. Mr. Krantz has hosted the Variety Club Telethon for the past twenty years and has raised over $3,000,000 for the children of Iowa. Jack Krantz has been actively involved in a number of community organizations such as the Greater Des Moines Committee, Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, Des Moines Visitors and Convention Bureau, Masonic Lodge, and Board of Directors for Brenton Banks.
