North High Hall of Fame Inductee - 2005 Robert Lee Hammer Class of June, 1953
Robert Hammer graduated from Iowa State Univesity in 1961 after serving in the United States Marine Corps for three years. Robert was employed in the Human Resources Department of Iowa Power & Light and Thatcher Glass Company. He finished his professional career as the Corporate Vice President of Strategic Human Resource Management for Motorola, Inc. He retired in 1992 and then bought a small business in Maine. Robert served on the Board of Directors of United Way, Boy Scouts, and the American Red Cross. Robert was also involved in working with youth as a mentor and many educational programs.
