North High Hall of Fame Inductee - 1997 Thomas Roscoe Drake Class of January, 1961
Tom Drake has been involved in education for over thirty years. He has been a teacher, coach, work experience advisor, Director of New Horizons, vice principal, middle and high school principal, and Executive Director of Middle and High School Programs for the Des Moines Public Schools. Tom has been a member of the State Human Rights commission, the Iowa Principals' Academy Board of Directors, Board of Directors for the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and member of the School Administrators Representative Committee. Mr. Drake has served on the YMCA Partner with Youth Campaign and the South Suburban Campaign to build a new facility.
