shim.gifThe table of contents consists of .gif buttons being installed on a green underlayment in PhotoShop and then brought to the index.html page where the buttons and links were created as an image map. This was definitely a much longer process than merely placing the buttons in a table. The unit was made to match the header detail used elsewhere.

Rainier, Puget Sound, and this web site representing an assortment of graphics exercises in celebration of Web Design instructed by Krista Jensen, Lake Washington Technical College, Kirkland, Washington during the Fall, 2001 Quarter. This home page represents a .psd (300 dpi) which was taken into Photo Shop for cleanup and to Image Ready for optimization. Opacity was taken to 22% on most layers. Layers with bright colors and strokes were turned off. The text was created in the .gif format so that it could be directly applied to the background and brought to the home page as a single graphic file. The background .psd photo began as a 5,126kb 300 dpi. image and was optimized and reduced to a 70kb 72dpi .jpg. Image size is 1600px wide x 1200px high; finished canvas size is 22.222" wide and 16.667" high.
